whew.. thanks so much churchill.. i missed the show in canada, and i was pretty upset.. but knowing the show in LONDON, halfway across the world, was FAB, is a TOTAL consolation. christ, i feel like i was THERE. in fact, just as long as i know idaho shows in other parts of the world are fab, i won't have to ever try to see idaho live for myself ever again!!
I know you are upset but the Europe shows were all fairly small and the first for 9 years and not being able to get into the country is a FAIRLY good excuse??
This is a band who have been fiercly independent ( probably to the detriment of their own careers ) and have spent lots of time and energy and no doubt money getting their music out to their fans.
Having said that: John??? Maybe this should be a lesson learnt and it's time to curb your penchant for goatporn?? They don't like it up in the conservative North.

What a big drag that is. I've been listening to my Idaho CDs all week, and looking forward to the show. The whole border thing is such a big pain for bands, and again, Canadian audiences suffer - how many shows get cancelled because of bands being stopped at the border? Having seen the last two Idaho Toronto dates, I was really looking forward to seeing them again, at a bigger, better venue with good sound. This band deserves a larger audience, and I was appalled at the turnout for the last two shows, which were not promoted very well. Bands like Low & Red House Painters play to packed or sold out venues here, but Idaho seem to be overlooked. Hopefully they will be back - it is a real shame. And, by coincidence, I was in Montreal last weekend, and saw Idaho posters up all over the city. I'm sure there will be some disappointed fans there as well.

We are very sorry to inform everyone that we are cancelling all North American dates. We were refused entry to Canada yesterday.
(One of us may not be allowed to ever return. Take a guess...)
We retreted to Boston where the decision was made to call off the last 2 U.S. dates. You are hearing it here first. We are sorry but we can't afford to stay out so long without shows happening.
Thanks to all who came to N.Y. and all our European shows. The Idaho faithful are something to behold.
