oh it's definitely out there - you just need to know where to look.
how did you get a copy already? I thought it wasn't going to be out until september? were you fortunate (and well-connected) enough to get a promo?
Just got my copy yesterday. You see, I usually take my vacation the beginning of September so it's always an added bonus to bring along a new Idaho release to accompany my lazy days on the beach drinking tropical alcoholic slushy drinks, staring at the waves and the occasional bikini clad lass during my Southwest Florida getaway. Kudos to Jeff and and company for yet another fine release. Keep'em coming!
Andy.
i heard part of the album yesterday - a local record store had a promo they let me listen to -
the first song "social studies" from the hearts of palm sessions is incredible - it would have been one of the best songs on that album. 7 other tracks feature the 4-piece lineup - killer stuff, right along the lines of the bayonet or the rockier stuff on 3 sheets. also interesting that alot of the people who frequent this message board are thanked in the liner notes.
How close is it to Three Sheets or the Bayonet EP?
Never fear. I have an advance copy and it may be the best Idaho album. That seems weird to say since it's an odds 'n' sods collection, but if you like the "rock" side of this band you'll cream your jeans. The last few albums were getting a bit vague for me and I appreciate this effort to connect with the listener, even if the artists involved have reservations.
