YES SIR !!
I too would love to read an i/v with Jeff in tape op. John get cracking.
I wonder if Hillary Swank has ever appeared in SWANK?
Too bad they write up consumer music stuffs in Tape Op. it took them 12 years before they finally interviewed Jack Endino 2 years ago, much after the whole Seattle thing died.
I choose Mix Magazine, they have cool write ups about crazy enginnering stuff, though much of it is a big advertisement (as is almost any form of media at this point). "Buy digital, buy digital, bla bla bla", obviously for those whove never tracked music on any analog format.
Tape Op - I'd love to see Jeff interviewed about the recording process and equipment involved.
sorry kids, but just lending my opinion here... i can't really stand music magizines. i don't have time to read about music - i like listening to music. i'm fine with just word-of-mouth, goin' to shows, and leveraging the internet to find those musicians who are so "web-nically" inclined...
though, i suppose i do recall paging through that CMJ rag when i was radio disk jockeyin' in college.. but fuck, i have ADD and i'm a slow reader...
am i old fashioned? ...i'm sure that none of you really care either...
I liked the old Stag Magazines articles on evolutionary music. I think they went under some time ago.
definitely the bigtakeover
and swank
Magnet, kids. It's all about Magnet.
I'd have to say my favorite magazine is The Debaser, this cool little zine from L.A. (And I'm not just saying that because I'm the editor.)
Sonicpress.com is always good.
ALWAYS!!
:^)
ECS.
Yes JB...
Everyone has their hobbies.
used to like 'the big take over', but these days, it's 'macworld' and 'runner's world'.
guess i might be better off with andy or rob's choices...
Gee thanks ROB...I can see you've been busy...
I swear by the reviews in Buttman and new cunts
cmj, it's how i found you guys back in 96.
Hustler's got a great music section....oh and so does Barely Legal. Check it out if you got the chance.
Having just subscribed to (BTO) The Big Take Over, I have to say I'm very impressed. Nice range of bands and good writing. CMJ has its moments as well.
Sorry, I know this may seem stupid, but I'm wondering what everyone's favorite music magazine is? Now don't be shy....
