RE: where is dan seta? | from Rob SSep 29 2001 - 11:56
I rekon Jeff does a pretty good JB/DS job on the new album. Love the feedback. Love the new album.Ah you noodley guitar boys.
JB you are way too hard on yourself. Loved (still do) your tones.

Hey John, cut it out. You and Dan kick an equal tonne (metric) o' ass in different ways. I'll not have you beating yourself up or making unfair judgements in a field that is qualitative, not quantitative (read:guitar playing).
Having said that, I cannot defend your shameless profiteering at Mr. Martin's expense. How can you sleep at night, you corporate monster? (read:sarcasm)
P.S. you broke my 4 track..... remember?
Yes Adam, I know how you feel.
There's no reason to ever deride
Dan or myself. I certainly can't fill his shoes,I'm not even working in the same capacity that he was. Like he said, I'm a business weasel. Besides, Dan is a
much better guitarist then I.
There, I said it.
Moving right along....
Christ, how many times does this tired subject have to be re-hashed? Hey Dan, check out the intstruments and equipment thread.......
Hey 'you're an idiot' 1. take it easy. Some people don't have all the time in the world, nor the patience to read through a lot of the sniping that goes on on this board and 2. get your facts straight. I wasn't asked to leave Idaho; I couldn't take the extra time out to tour last year from my job, and Jeff and I were drifting apart musically. We decided to split up. 3. John isn't back in his old place, he is in a place of far more responsibility; he runs the label and takes care of all of the detail work that enables you to buy the records and go see them live. Give credit where credit is due, including to any and all past members of Idaho. We are all friends. You guys should try it too. It's far more fun.
no shit, what crawled up his ass?
Let's leave this argument to the archives, along with the juvenile name-calling. Whaddya say?
hey not dan seta, i was at the sf
show expecting to see john berry
and to my honor i did. everyone
knows dan was kindly asked to leave
last year so jeff could go solo.
where you been?
as far as "glaring non existence.."
john was just where he
should have been and it is dan
that has been holding his spot
in line. you could tell because from
what i was told that was the old drummer, too.
just check this message board, there's lots of material (some of it horseshit, some more reliable) posted about it.
hmm. just saw a cool idaho show last night, got the new CD, noticed the glaring non-existence of dan seta on guitar...! that seems like a big deal, since he has been a part of the toring band since like 1995 or something, and jeff's partner/sidekick in album recording crime for the last 5 years or so... so what happenned? he isn't on the new CD at all either, so i guess he left a while back??? not to say Jeff isn't the heart and soul or Idaho, but i always thought of Dan as Garfunkel to Jeff's Simon, with a scruffy goatee and a tendency to jump up and down when playing live. great chemistry between them. so what happenned??? was it a good split? a bad split? is he on vacation?? lol we heard all about when the band stripped down to just Jeff and Dan, so might as well cough up some dirt on what happenned...! anyone know??
