Hey, Rump Rover&Fudlow, I've been to Europe at least 20 times my dad had to work over in Belgium and France through my late teens and early twenties you fumbling idiot's. I can bet I've seen more of europe than both of you. It made me appreciate America even more>

RE: Idaho in the UK | from Range RoverJul 25 2001 - 04:08

Fact: Only 1 in 12 Americans has a passport. This might explain their notorious insularity and general global inexperience. Shame for the Euros eh? Or not. Idaho had better have passports though...

RE: Idaho in the UK | from FudlowJul 24 2001 - 22:55

Hey, lay off the Eurpoeans. Most great art is originated or is viewed by Europeans. You've never been there, thus, you are a standardized American that has created viewpoints or absorbed viewpoints from other stereotypical Americans. Why don't you take a tour of Europe and find out exactly how misinformed and culture lacking you will be after 2 days of visiting. My guess is that you will revert yo your hotel room after the first day and stay there till your trip ends. Cheers.

I can tell you Euro's why I wouldnt tour Europe if I were in Idaho. You people stink, I mean come on, mix in a shower once in a while. Secondly, how about plumbing that works? Wow, what a concept! Thirdly, who want's to look out into a crowd of smiling Euro's with those nasty teeth staring back at you. Damn are there any dentist's in Europe?

Any chance you'll make it across this sprawling land of ours? (and not just to Montreal, Toronto, or Vancouver)

Your fans and fans-to-be in Calgary would appreciate a visit.

Pete, Let me start with the "panty-throwing"....I hope not. You see, I'd about 85% of Idaho's audience is male. It's not a testosterone deal,I think we appeal to a sophisticated male intelect.Like a chef's, such as yourself. But so help me god if I see some dudes underwear flying at my head, someone is going to jail. Unfortunately it will be me.
As to your other question about the annoying tendancies of rude audiences,I'd have to say:Canadians are the best. I was dumbfounded by their collective quiet and respectfullness. It was an honor to play there. We are looking forward to October.

asking if people have a life or not is not joking, more like sarcasm. but i'm bored preaching to "idiots" myself.

RE: Idaho in the UK | from do i have to put a "joke" disclaimer?Jul 21 2001 - 14:52

Pointing out jokes to humorless nerds is getting old.

RE: Idaho in the UK | from annoyed yet againJul 21 2001 - 10:20

whats wrong with you ben? Bipolar?

RE: Idaho in the UK | from BenJul 21 2001 - 09:20

That's all well and good, but what was up with that recipe you put up on the message board, Pete? Don't you have a life?

RE: Idaho in the UK | from PeteJul 21 2001 - 09:07

Thanks JB. I apologise on behalf of my fellow countrymen for the disappointing reception they gave you on your last visit. Perhaps you'll only be heckled and boo'd next time?

Incidentally, it is just in the UK or does it happen elsewhere that audiences have a REALLY ANNOYING habit of talking all the way through the set of any bands that are a little bit on the quiet or thoughtful side? Which is worse - being completely ignored or being heckled, etc? Anyway, make sure you get over to the UK next time and I'm sure it will be wild applause and panty-throwing all the way...

RE: Idaho in the UK | from J. BerryJul 20 2001 - 15:58

Pete, I admire your nuts. What BUK might say is "What matters most is how well one walks through the fire". Yes, once upon a time, IDAHO did do a tour in the U.K. in 1993.Stevenage,Tunbridge-on-wells,Windsor,Leeds,London,Newcastle,Glasgow,Bristol,Leicester and Plymouth were a few of the lucky towns where inhabitants were able to spit on, heckle and boo us. And yes, there is a remote possibity that we will get over there this year.I'll know soon enough. Check back in a few weeks to see our tour dates.
Cheers
