RE: Lone Gunman EDITIONS ? | from adam (u.k.)Oct 01 2005 - 15:47
Any chance of the new album being released on vinyl, like all of the older albums (well, up until the fobidden ep)? No real reason for asking, its just that vinyl is "nicer"...

The tracklist (songs 11 & 12) is different here
http://www.dotshop.se/ds/release.php?code=TAL022CD&rand=163429335
than here
http://www.talitres.com/idaho_e.htm
Yet both seem to be the Tal-022 release. How does this differ from the Japanese release?
It's on the links page.
JB: what's your email?
We would have released the same album everywhere if we were shipping finished goods, which we are not. We have licesned the record to different territories who have different versions of the record (tracks) for different reasons. They are manufactered by our licensees for their respective labels.
They are not meant to be special editions they are just different from each other.
The way I understand it: due to the higher cost of manufacture, the Japanese could easily spend less yen for an imported release than one produced domestically -- hence, the inclusion of bonus tracks as an inducement for the local consumer.
just wondering what the point of special editions are? why not release the same album everywhere? curious mcdwangles
and where can we find your email addy?
:)
If anyone has questions about the U.S., European or Japanese editions of the record, please email myself about it. Thanks JB
