Jeez Jeff: that looks awful. What is that building at the top that's hanging on by the skin of it's teeth?
No chace they can wait a little longer for the score?
The end is near...
Thinking about mudslides, tsunamis, etc., I wonder: why does bad shit always seem to happen to good people while the mean, evil types (of whom there are plenty) always seem to escape scott free? Funny world we were born into....
the studio wasnt hit that hard.....just needs enough work that it'll keep me out for a few weeks.....look at http://www.idahomusic.com/noise/slide2.JPG studio is on bottom left
Holy crap! are you okay, Jeff? was your house actually flattened and/or swept away, or is the damage less than that? either way, sucks to hear. hope everything turns out okay. i'm sure i speak for everyone here when i say we're glad you're okay and hope that you are safe and that you havent lost anything too important.
i'm such an idiot. "scrawny" was the song i was thinking of that creeps me out... in a good way. (my bad).
NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! that's horrible. damn. i'm really sorry. are YOU all right?
a huge mudslide came crashing down onto my property during the crazy rains here in LA a couple of days ago...the studio was hit and has put me out of comission for at least a month.....alas,i wont be doing the film it seems...
I never really liked Bass Crawl, but I didn't think it was bad. I liked the vocals and guitars, but I didn't get into the bass or drums in the song.
I like "glow"(TWO). I don't think it's creepy or the best song ever, but I think it's a really good one. I listen to it all the time.
'Bass Crawl' was the first dance at my wedding.
In the end, my wife left me, but it's still the greatest song and lyric ever.
That's funny Ron, every time I hear ANY song, I'm like "What the fuck is going on here?". For example, the other day, I turned the radio on in my car, and a song was playing, and I was like "What the fuck is going on here?". That's what I was like. It creeps me out.
I'm kind of with you Ron. 'Bass Crawl' is not evil but it's indeed very mysterious. Fantastic song.
Who's doing the film, Jeff? Is it a big budget production or indie?
Looking forward to hearing the creepier side of you. Should be interesting.
c.
"Bass Crawl?!" haha, I had not considered that one. I was thinking something more along the lines of the first minute and a half of "Levitate Pt.2." :)
Somehow I can't imagine 'Bass Crawl' in a horror movie. It doesn't creep me out at all.
i love a good horror movie. it's a guilty pleasure. but i'm pumped to hear that jeff will be doing a score to a horror flick. actually, one of my top 5 favorite IDAHO songs is that weird "bass scrawl." it just creeps me out. i listen to it and i'm like, "what the fuck is going on here?" please tell me that will be in the horror movie!!!
I saw "white noise" recently, too. I thought it was good, but michael keaton's reactions were a little lacking at times. but yeah, how about jeff's news? I can't wait to hear it.
I heard that movie sucked bigtime. So what do you think of Jeff's news, Ron?
just saw "White Noise." it was OK. i thought they could have done more to play with the audio... and i thought michael keaton's reaction to seeing his dead wife was actually under acted. think about it: you see an image of and hear your dead wife through a radio!?!? i'd die of heart attack!
that sounds like it would be a lot of fun. hopefully the movie won't suck. I just saw "darkness". man, worst movie ever.
I think it's awesome. I used to love the soundtracks of Italian 'Gialo' Zombie flicks performed by Goblin.
Did you guys read the news page? What do you think of that? I'm guessing the music must be a wild departure from IDAHO.
Anyhow, a big congratulations to Jeff. And here's hoping to this resulting in good funding toward the release of the new IDAHO record...
