I'm David, 36, reside in Atlanta, married, son is 22 months and daughter is 4 months. Financial Advisor for Wall Street firm advising wealthy individuals, average guitarist that loves the heavy dark fuzz pedals and soon investing in piano. Interesting to see only a few women have replied here. Either there aren't many women Idaho fans or they choose not to participate in message boards. CANNOT and WILL NOT live without a band not one person has mentioned: Luna Other fav's are Kitchens of Distinction, Starflyer 59, Pale Saints, Morellas Forest, Cocteau Twins, old Church, Smith's, RHP, Idaho of course,Velour 100, recently Death Cab, Interpol

Jeremy in freezing Toronto, Canada, older than all of you, but not wiser, I'm sure. Male genitalia, co-habiting with a South American partner with female version of same and teenaged son. Have a couple of fucking cats, but some human friends, too. I write about and publicize film & tv shows, specializing in documentaries. Can't help using big words once in a while if they hit the spot. I like all the usual slo-core suspects that we all know, along with world, jazz, blues, classical..actually pretty well everything from time to time except rap, hip-hop, techno and all their variations - guess they're the proverbial new tricks this old dog can't appreciate.

RE: Calling all idaho message board users | from DeanJan 15 2004 - 06:55

He has nothing to declare but his genius...

RE: Calling all idaho message board users | from adamJan 15 2004 - 06:52

Nice diction Mr. Wilde. Save it for Grad School.

RE: Calling all idaho message board users | from Alex NiedtJan 14 2004 - 20:36

So many big words... : )

RE: Calling all idaho message board users | from CodreanuJan 14 2004 - 18:37

I sincerely apologize if I have offended anyones churlish sensibilities by the above cant-laden post. I promise that in future I will exercise greater caution when consuming barbiturates on an empty stomach. Actually, HEffE, according to my Match.com profile I am a 6'2 bodybuilder named Wade with a home in The Hamptons, who enjoys candlelit dinners and long walks on the beach :) My above mention of my cat was an inept attempt at self-deprecation, a facility some of you would do good to acquire. -One last thing. As a she-male with a complementary set of genitalia, I can assure you that it is not all auto-erotic bliss. For I am observant of the Vaticans strictures regarding birth control.....

RE: Calling all idaho message board users | from MixheadJan 14 2004 - 18:23

You people are completely without irony.

RE: Calling all idaho message board users | from JeanJan 14 2004 - 17:21

Not what I was intending to say, but I suppose it's possible. ; )

RE: Calling all idaho message board users | from hey jeanJan 14 2004 - 17:13

"him/her" - so you're saying Codreanu is a shemale?

RE: Calling all idaho message board users | from JeanJan 14 2004 - 16:50

I'm guessing that none of you have ever met Codreanu in person, but you all obviously feel you have the right to judge and label him/her as a pretentious, self-absorbed douchebag. Looks like you all are the real douchebags here.

RE: Calling all idaho message board users | from Alex NiedtJan 14 2004 - 16:42

Yeah, HEffE. I bet we'd make a great match! Especially if I had a single clue as to what the guy was talking about (other than a couple of bands). Great rhyme, by the way. Reminds me of kindergarten...

RE: Calling all idaho message board users | from hEffEJan 14 2004 - 16:15

hey codpiece, I mean codreanu- that's hilarious. is that yr match.com profile???? very dramatic. no wonder your best friend is a fuckin cat. you should meat alex niedt - hey that rhymes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: Calling all idaho message board users | from nopeJan 14 2004 - 05:14

or, an overly pretentious self-absorbed blowhard.

RE: Calling all idaho message board users | from CodreanuJan 13 2004 - 23:21

My name is Codreanu (not really) and I live in Muskogee, Oklahoma (no Merle Haggard jokes please!). Male...Thirty years of age...6'...Hazel eyes...Dark brown hair stylistically morrisseyesque (early 90's)...165 lbs. a tad ectomorphic but gorgous nonetheless.
I am a semi-recluse whose best friend is a diabetic silver persian named Spinoza. When I am not aimlessly dithering about the house or emoting something awful, I occupy myself with reading. Subjects I enjoy include classic literature - Dostoevsky, Hawthorne, Joyce, the prose of Samuel Beckett etc. Philosophy - mostly the Germanics (Schopenhaur, Fichte, Von Hartmann etc.). Although in my salad days I was overtly fond of Sarte *blushes with shame*, Kierkegaard remains my most beloved pervasive influence. I am rather fond of poetry, my favorites include Mallarme, Keats, Rilke, and Pound, amongst others. I listen to music of the 'sadcore' genre, as well as anything nostalgically inflected or of sorrowful idiom....Jacob Faurholt, RHP, Flashpapr, SWS, Black Heart Procession, IDAHO, Spokane, Codeine, Morrissey/The Smiths, Carissa's wierd, Migala, Delphine, Tram, CTFTPA, Joy Division, Arab Strap, The Cure, Lycia, AMC, My Favorite, Galaxie 500, For Stars, Fred Thomas, etc. I revere classical music, the synphonies of Gustav Mahler in particular (pace Robert Smith, it was Mahler who fashioned the original 'Dark Trilogy'!)
Politically, I am decidedly anti-modernist and sowewhere to the right of Joseph De Maistre.
I am currently in the process of conversion to the Catholic Church.
In sum -a winsome eccentric, or dream-wracked schizoid, as you please.

Blatantly single 26 year-old scorpio living in the shadow of Motown, albeit on the Canadian side.

Professional student, eschewing work for debt-inducing erudition. Sinks what free money he has in recording and touring for no logical reason.

I work a miserable customer service job for a company that provides music for retail/hospitality applications. I talk to cranky chain store and restaurant middle managers all day.

When I'm not doing that I play music. I play drums in a band called Fey Ray. We just wrapped up mixing our first album and I'm very excited about it. I also play guitar and record stuff under my own name.

I am currently obsessed with the Television remasters.
