Oblivion, you're a fucking vulture.
E-mail me and we'll discuss...A trade perhaps? Andrew, you're right, that stream is quite nice, but I am quite glad to have something I can play in my car...I jope this isn't offending the Idaho folks. I am just obsessed with your fantastic music and am ecstatic to have new stuff to enjoy :)
Are you sharing, oblivion music?
The sound quality from http://3voor12.vpro.nl/3voor12/groups/index.jsp?groups=8399195 was great (for a live show) on my computer speakers.
Yeah, I got it off of Soulseek as was mentioned. It is AMAZING!!! Tons of new stuff on piano. The quality is not fantastic, but it serves my unyielding desire to have new Idaho music :)
You mean, you have the show?
Anyone have the tracklist for that Paris show handy? It is magnificent, but I forgot to save the titles :( oops...
Thanks in advance for your help...
what exactly is soulseek and how can it be accessed?
And before "To Be The One".
mmmmm, thanks for the soulseek tip off. Lovely show. I like the little (I assume) improvised interlude right before Levitate.
I know that There exist a soundboard version from that concert in France recorded by a french radio. But I've Never heard it yet, just have the bootleg recorded on MD. Anyway, I was there, and it was one of my favorite concert of 2002. Even if Mr Berry told me after the gig that his guitar sound was crap... The new songs on piano were very amazing, but I'm not sure Mr Martin will record them for an album. They were made specially for the europe tour.
yeah, i really hope lately is on the next album.
thanks, brian, for bringing this up again. i must have missed it the last time for some reason. and thanks again, marc, for finding and posting the link.
Oh shit! Two more new songs. They're absolutely gorgeous as well. If you haven't listened to this stuff yet, what the hell are you waiting for?
Holy shit! That's a masterpiece of a performance. Wish I was there. Too bad my fucking RealPlayer kept fucking up in the middle of the "Lately" video. Piece of shit. I was about to punch a hole in my computer screen. Anyway, "Parting Ways" is a brilliant song too. I hope both songs are released officially. That performance of "Levitate" was beautiful. "To Be The One" too.
Is there a whole gig available for download, from the Bottom of the Hill?
Also, i see on SOULSEEK there is a whole gig available for download recorded from Paris, in 2002.
Can anyone help me get this recording?
Hey W,
I'm with you. I think I remember that being something they did live in San Fransisco at the Bottom of the Hill or something. Yeah, that song is hardly a throwaway. I think it's brilliant. I understand that song better now than ever...
Oh, and I think the line ends, "or am I the only one here."
thank you marc.
thanks, marc. lovely song.
Found it, here you go...

there's another unreleased song i have on a live recording. there's a line that says: "what do i do with your picture. no one is cleaning my ears. are you laughing with out me? are you the only one (something i can't make out)" i remember Jeff describing it as a throw away song or something like that, but it literally sends chills down my spine everytime i listen to it. especially this line. there's a breakup there somewhere that spawned some great lyrics sprinkled through a bunch of Idaho songs.
i think the threads only go back 365 days. i'll have to search for it online.
Sorry, i can't find it anywhere. It was linked from this board in the summer/early autumn of 2002, if you fancy searching through the threads...
No, it's a new song. It is available live from a few places. In fact, i even have a video of that song being performed from some Dutch web site. Can't remember right now, where. I'll have a look, and get back to you.
is this song on any Idaho CD? i've never heard it.
yes,,,so beautiful it blows my mind really...if you have the strength to put the recording of it away for a few weeks, then pull it out and listen to it---it blows you away all over again...I know because I just did this yesterday. I was late for work because there was no way I was getting out of the car until it was over. Thank you Jeff.
it's when distraction is all you've got there won't be a reaction to fall in on your own.
