i guess if you don't live in mid-ohio that wouldn't be funny. it's a weird area. it's very agricultural, but the kids are either hippie-types or gothic-type or Gangsta rappa-type. and there's like NO black people. so you have Jethro Johnson with his dairy-farming day job, but at night he becomes Jerry Garcia and smokes enough weed to kill his dairy farm of cows. and they're not into free love or trees or whatever. they're these sick kind of right-wing anti-government gun-loving folk. weird.
the festival is in a town called Bucyrus, Ohio. we did this a while back... and it drew a weird contingent of classic white-trash hippies and gothic types.
Actually, that's pretty funny.
toad the wet sprocket? more like toad the wet Suck It, right guys! heh! right?
Wow! Congratulations Ron. Where is this festival?
if you guys remember the lists we all made for our top 5 shows of all-time, i listed toad the wet sprocket on my list. well, my (main) band The Peachbones is going to open for Glenn Phillips at a musica festival on 27 September! i'm childishly excited about this hallmark in my career! long before i ever sang a note, i was like, "I want my voice to sound like his!"
