i have an AC15 and an AC10 that more than cover for the loss of this old friend
i saw the amp, it looked like shit. i would have bought it and arranged shipment too if it weren't too expensive for the optical state it was in. (no offence to emotions, history and tentatively great sound)
I think Jeff did a good deal on the Vox, hope he's happy although it's probably a loss..
I'd have wanted the Space Echo mentioned elsewhere.. one of me other fav bands, the chameleons, used them on their first couple of albums. oh well.
So- what are you using for your amp these days, Jeff?
I just broke down and sold a ton of stuff that has been sitting around, collecting dust, and wanting someone to use it.
My two main amps now are a '68 Princeston Reverb and a '65 Deluxe (no reverb)- much nicer to carry a 1x10 or 1x12 around in NYC, plus sound guys love me.
The funny thing is, I doubt Jeff's sound will change much- I'm kinda anal about my amps, but the sound is all in the fingers.
Still want to get an AC30 though... Too bad I missed the auction; we all know that was a fine sounding amp.
i dont think so....
just curious, is the person that actually bought this amp on the board or even aware of I D A H O?
"one take vocals". awesome.
Old gear can mean old habits. I think it's cool that Jeff is looking for some different sounds. A lot of musicians tend to settle into a formula after a while.
I'd certainly pitch in, but it sounds like he already has tons of stuff done. (Check the news page.) It's gotten me all excited.
Jeff? Do we need to start a pool to save the next album??
How much does this suck when Britney et al are lighting their farts with $100 bills?
For fucks sake!
Final price: $2026.99...not bad.
i remember Jeff mentioning the thought of selling this amp a few months ago. but everybody has to do what needs to be done to continue. i'm almost to the point of selling equipment as well to pay off some debt too.
ive got too much stuff and still paying off the euro tour.......ill keep making music though..not to worry
first the toms, now the amp... next will be the 4-strings. are we witnessing the demise of Idaho?
sorry. my english sucks btw.
Terrific... what's goin on Jeff?
the idaho guitarsound is the best guitarsound. it's a shame if you were gonna change it?
yea. why?
Nooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!! Say it ain't so! What do you mean you're "forced" to?
im selling the vox ac30 that has been the MAIN amp on every idaho record. i dont want to do it but im forced to....here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2542826012&ssPageName=ADME:B:LC:US:1
