I'm Care from South Korea, the country Duk Koo Kim lived. I want to feel the beautiful sad song more deeply. Won't u guys pliz give me the whole lyric of the song.
yes, yes. and furthermore, a squid eating dough in a polyethylene bag is fast and bulbous. got me?
Don't knock the cat songs, c. And they're not cats, they're little people in furry suits.
No no no... Not even close. Trust me, it's worth the purchase. The title sure sounds like it though. Duk Koo Kim was a boxer. The song is about him though. It's difficult to explain.
is this another ridiculous song about one of his cats, like the 1st track on "old ramon"?
Doing better, thanks.
Alex, how's your mental state? You hanging in there?
their's a copy of this at Reckless Records in Chicago on Milwaukee Ave. Last time i was there anyway...
I'm so fucking pissed off right now. My recording equipment all depends on a goddamn computer, which hasn't been working right for almost a week now. My emotions all go to shit if I can't work on my music.
Ah, Alex, taciturn as always. Still, glad you like it.
Yes, White Christmas is quite good.
Have you heard White Xmas Live? Got hold of it not long ago. The solo stuff's damn hard to find here. The same thing applies to Kozelek as David Freel of Swell - the quality may vary, but I'm just fuckin happy they're still puttin records out. Even their lamest donkeys can hobble past most of the junk out there.
Damn. I got mine for $10 locally.
I agree with you though. I've been listening to Old Ramon lately. There are quite a few duds on there.
If you haven't heard, "Duk Koo Kim" is Mark Kozelek's new limited vinyl single. It came in the mail today and I just got done listening to it. It's the saddest, most beautiful, and inspired song he's written in years IMHO. The vocal performances are also above recent par on the studio and live versions. In fact, I've never heard a better live Kozelek vocal performance. If you can find it on Ebay (as I did) pick it up. It costs around $20, but is well worth it. Both versions of Duk Koo Kim are around 10 minutes long, so think of it as a dollar a minute.
