Ah, this is sounding more plausible by the moment. That's getting disturbing. Do I flail around the room in joy like a freed gimp? Or do I sit and wait for the big comedown when we find out it's a cruel, warped pigfucker of a tease? Jean, the cracks are measured in millimetres, but the flaws are huge. Big enough to collapse buildings. You know our kind too well.
As for the Ugly American record? Well, who'd uf thunk it? Eitzel goes sorta Greek and makes a version of Nightwatchman that's as good as the original. Mind you, when you write a song like that it's pretty impossible to fuck it up. Unless you're Ronan Keating.
One other thing: I'm travelling this electronic zoo on an emailer, which means very limited access to a lot of sites. I could get on Eitzel's site, but now all I get is an endless procession of ship photos. I can't even get on the AMC.com site. It's un-navigable waters for me. Piece of shit this thing is. Keep me up to date folks. I'm lucky I could get on this one. Took some jiggling. And we all know how much fun that can be.

Seth, first of all I've listened to your song "Par Avion" on MP3.com a million times. It's beautiful. I found your page when I was looking for bands similar to Idaho. Actually, our pages are listed as first and second to Idaho. Anyways, there's no link to the exact page, but you just go to www.americanmusicclub.com and click on the news icon (a bullhorn). It's the third bullet from the end of the May news.

i saw that on eitzel's website as well - it was just a small blurb in the news section. you'd think that there'd be more hubbub about it. i'm not getting my hopes up..

I know what you mean, Blue Astronaut. This kind of news can make our kind very fragile. It seems to be true though. The Bruce Kaphan thing seems strange though. God, I love his steel playing.

ummmmm.. maybe you read that wrong.... the way i understand it, Eitzel's upcoming album, "The Ugly American" will contain new songs as well as re-recordings of old AMC songs. unless there is something i missed.....
