JR, since it's a used guitar, you might have some neck troubles, i.e., the truss rod. but if it's not that, it's probably just an intonation problem, which is easily fixable. take it to a music store and have a tech set it up for you. i have a '94 mexican tele and it's brilliant. i have to find a USA tele that sounds better. in '94 the mexican fender stuff was still american parts, just assembled in mexico. now that's not the case. good luck!
