Three Sheets is the record that gets me where it fuckin matters. Alive Again just spills ache, memory, longing. Can't touch it. Stare at the Sky close in with it. Damn great record. Just glad to find this place and know that someone gives a fuck.

You may get Alas, but I'd wager on whether you'll get the Forbidden EP. Watch out for their e-mails too. They seem to have an auto reply which tells you that everything is ok........and then you get screwed in the end. I'll never use them again.
RE: Bayonet | from re duffelbagJun 16 2003 - 06:02
hey rip,
a few of weeks ago i ordered alas and the forbidden ep from duffelbag, and sent my money order, about three weeks ago and still haven't got a reply - i hope i haven't been ripped off as well -i'll have to complain about this somehow.
RE: Bayonet | from bkahunaJun 15 2003 - 23:06
I found both Bayonet and The Forbidden EP on Gemm. Took a while, but both arrived as promised.
RE: Bayonet | from AlexJun 09 2003 - 13:16
Hey Rip, I think Gemm has a couple more copies up for sale.
RE: Bayonet | from RipJun 09 2003 - 12:38
Bayonet is awesome. I'm having trouble finding the Forbidden EP. Amazon.com screwed me and so did Duffelbag.com via GEMM. I'll never use Duffelbag again. I recommend never using them, they are still advertising as having it.....
RE: Bayonet | from gibbsJun 09 2003 - 11:38
another great ep is the Forbidden ep. as you all probably know its damn hard to find any of the albums in stores and ususally results in having to order it form somewhere but dman its worth it.
has anyone heard the bayonet ep, its the last one i dont have and am having trouble finding it.
RE: Bayonet | from tharpeJun 08 2003 - 21:55
i agree that "levitate" "heart of palm" and "alas" are most cohesive but "three sheets to the wind" is so beautifull all the way through and it was the fist time I heard the guys - love at first listen so I dont know all of these listed particularly lev.. h.o.p. and 3 sheets... all make my faves - alas is right there though ..... aaahh forget it the "this way out " palms e p ect .............there all great - apples and oranges !
RE: Bayonet | from Jeff B. Jun 08 2003 - 20:40
Three Sheets is my fave, Stare at the Sky is the BEST Idaho tune, period.
RE: Bayonet | from AlexJun 08 2003 - 09:54
I think "Levitate", "Hearts of Palm", and "Alas" are the most cohesive. They're my favorites, too.
RE: Bayonet | from RonJun 08 2003 - 06:24
the two Idaho records that i keep coming back to are Three Sheets and Levitate. i don't think Three Sheets is too scattered at all. i think it rocks... and i don't mean that in a Junior High kind of way, either. tracks 1-4 are pretty good ass-kickers. but then the records takes a turn for the more mellow side of things, and then picks up for the end. i think it's how any good album should be, ya know? most bands just put a collection of songs together and there's not continuity or cohesion. i think Three Sheets has that. same w/ Levitate, too.
RE: Bayonet | from JeanJun 07 2003 - 21:32
I'd put Alas before Three Sheets. Three Sheets is too scattered for my opinions. Alas is like one full, beautiful masterpiece.
RE: Bayonet | from bkahunaJun 07 2003 - 21:22
JR - IMHO, I would have to rank your three 'dirty discs' in the following order - Three Sheets to the Wind, Alas and The Palms EP. From the Bayonet Ep (in my car) the first and second tunes are classic. The Palms (with Creep and the last tune) is solid.
RE: Bayonet | from JR OlssonMay 06 2003 - 08:49
I finally have layed my dirty little hands on 'the palms ep', 'three sheets to the wind' and 'alas'. thanks to a friend of mine in toronto. fantastic stuff.
i have an mp3 with 'get you back' live from a radio show performance. jeff, JB - from when and where is that? i actually like that version better than the one appearing on the cd. the vocals gets through better there, and the bass. more stripped.
RE: Bayonet | from JR OlssonMar 29 2003 - 23:34
well, it was half a lie. so far eric just has them. they will be in a package on it's way to sweden within a week. i am stuck with my goddamned mp3s for now. i haven't heard all songs from the albums though so i will have to get back to you with opinions.
RE: Bayonet | from AlexMar 29 2003 - 18:51
So JR, what do you think of your new CDs? Which is your favorite? What are your favorite songs?
RE: Bayonet | from JR OlssonMar 29 2003 - 08:48
I finnaly got my hands on some older idaho records as well. my good friend eric thaler from toronto did some fine purchases on used cds. 'palms ep', 'three sheets in the wind' and 'alas' are now in my possesion.
RE: Bayonet | from RossMar 28 2003 - 14:24
It's bitchin'. "Only maybe" is brilliant. I'll never the first time I heard it. I hadn't a fucking clue where it was going. It was a total ride.
...that's the magic of Martin...
Finally | from RipMar 28 2003 - 09:34
Finally, I found the Bayonet EP off of GEMM. I received it today and I thought it was coming from England but the return addy said J.Martin's closet.......hmmmm.
