RE: martin's gear...? | from michelMar 12 2003 - 11:15

RE: martin's gear...? | from DeanMar 12 2003 - 01:39

Dan! What you up to boy?

RE: martin's gear...? | from jeffMar 11 2003 - 21:31

yeah the API was me...i sold the API eq's years ago and had the empty lunchbox sitting around...i was surprised how much i got for it. ..

RE: martin's gear...? | from brianMar 11 2003 - 21:07

at least i'm not the only one who noticed some of the equipment on ebay.

i don't think there's anything wrong with advertising your equipment sales Jeff, I know any of us that play would love to have something if we could afford it.

Hey Jeff. Are you selling any recording gear? I could swear I saw an API lunchbox up on ebay a while back.

RE: martin's gear...? | from danMar 10 2003 - 23:01

I thought we recorded the bass for bass crawl on that lovely AC30 as well didn't we? It is very tasty. Hmmm. Maybe I will buy it...

RE: martin's gear...? | from jeffMar 10 2003 - 21:37

its a 1964 and my ac 15 is a '64 too i believe.

RE: martin's gear...? | from BrianMar 10 2003 - 13:36

Jeff - Mainly out of curiosity, what year is it? And are you now using one of the reissue AC15's or an older one?

RE: martin's gear...? | from chrisMar 10 2003 - 13:33

i'd buy it if my ears weren't so sensitive to volume.

i genuinely dig your music by the way.

take it easy

RE: martin's gear...? | from jeffMar 10 2003 - 13:03

this may seem like the wrong place to advertise but i may sell the AC-30 that was used on all the idaho records.... probably used more than any other that i own... i have an ac10 and an ac15 now that work just fine and need$ to help get us over to europe this year...ill probably put it up on ebay in a few days unless someone makes a decent offer sooner

RE: martin's gear...? | from chrisMar 10 2003 - 11:16

just got a '65 deluxe reverb (not a reissue) in excellent condition on ebay. should be in here in about a week.

have a good one

RE: martin's gear...? | from brianMar 08 2003 - 19:46

a recent find this week i had to have, a 60s blackface fender showman. is super loud and really clean. i also bought a roland 4x8 cabinet to run with the showman. i love roland speakers. how could you not?

RE: martin's gear...? | from Alex N.Mar 08 2003 - 12:21

Check out Hartke bass amps. They have very low self-noise (great for recording) and nice, full, warm tone. Regular guitars sound great through them as well. I'd recommend the Kickback 15" model if on a tight budget.

RE: martin's gear...? | from chrisMar 08 2003 - 01:02

hot rods are notoriously loud. i don't play in a band so i don't need that kind of power.

i found an ac15 reissue for a decent price. should be buying it today.

thanks for the help and suggestions.

Check out the Hot Rod Series from Fender. Very versatile, warm tube sound in a variety of configurations ( 4x10, 2x12, 1x12). Affordable too.

RE: martin's gear...? | from chrisMar 07 2003 - 06:10

found another post that agrees with you. both of those are on my 'to-play' list so that's good news, especially as they aren't $3k pieces of cheese.

thanks for the assist!

He plays a Fender Deluxe and a Vox AC 15, I believe. There is a big thread on this somewhere on this board...

what amp does he use? | from chrisMar 06 2003 - 08:26

i recently discovered idaho. it took me about a week to dig heart of palms, but i can now say it's probably the best album i've ever heard.

i've been shopping for a new amp lately without any success. the clean guitar on 'dum dum' is gorgeous - does anyone know what amp that is? couldn't find anything on google so i appreciate any help.

thank you,
