RE: Idaho compilation | from JBMar 05 2003 - 02:03

The posters, all three of them, will be available soon at the much scorned RETROPHONIC.COM
along with a sale on selected titles and samples so you can hear what you've been missing...

As for Ross, no need to degrade yourself, we might be able to work out a trade...I'm gonna ask you for a favor soon...we'll talk.

RE: Idaho compilation | from RossMar 03 2003 - 05:49

I'm confused... I have a Hearts of Palm poster which is dry mounted hanging on a wall at home. I would like to adorn the walls with others. If there are posters left over, and they are available for sale let me know.

Please note that I'm willing to degrade myself.

RE: Idaho compilation | from bkahunaMar 02 2003 - 08:52

Ross Sounds like you got the goods..
John, How could one attempt to locate any of those three posters you mentioned?

RE: Idaho compilation | from scoobidooMar 01 2003 - 09:13

That's not fair Mr Berry!!! Nobody can compete with this trade. You shouldn't be allowed to do that. And what about Jeff playing a special gig only for the 3sheets poster?

cabbage patch 1# | from JBFeb 28 2003 - 22:01

Not so fast there Ross ma' boy....

John, I can trade you 3 posters (Hearts of Palm, Levitate, We were young Euro tour) for your extra "3 sheets"...of course I might be able to throw in something else depending on what we have in stock.
Let me know how you'd feel about that...

RE: Idaho compilation | from RossFeb 28 2003 - 18:16

John, you realize that we're about to recreate the scene of a bunch of desperate mothers trying to buy the last Cabbage Patch Kid doll. Although the Big Kahuna beat me cleanly to the punch, I must confess that I would also be interested in becoming the proprietor of such a poster...

RE: Idaho compilation | from bkahunaFeb 28 2003 - 05:33

I have a spot on my wall for that tour poster. How much would it set me back?

RE: Idaho compilation | from johnJan 27 2003 - 02:27

hey c or michael,

would one of you mind burning me a copy of that sampler. i would ofcourse send you a blank in the mail and money for postage to send it back to me. please let me know.

thanks guys

p.s.

i have an extra poster from the Three Sheets.... tour if anyone wants to buy it from me or trade me for some rare Idaho that i do not have, let me know

RE: Idaho compilation | from bkahunaJan 25 2003 - 22:15

We Were Young...was the first Idaho disc I listened to, and the it was when I hit "Shoulder Back" the first time that I knew I was hooked. Great tune. I now own Hearts of Palm, Levitate, Year After Year and Three Sheets to the Wind. Great stuff.

RE: Idaho compilation | from cJan 17 2003 - 07:17

i was introduced to half film from that sampler as well - in fact i bought "east of monument" after liking what i heard. good album.

RE: Idaho compilation | from michelJan 15 2003 - 23:37

yeah c, i also have that sampler. it costed i think US$1,00 at the time when i ordered it with alas at buzz records. It was my introduction to the other band 'Half Film'on it.

RE: Idaho compilation | from cJan 15 2003 - 11:55

i first heard "shoulder back" from a buzz records CD sampler, back in the fall of '98 around the time "alas" came out. anyone else get that sampler? i wonder if it's a collector's item now?

RE: Idaho compilation | from adam in nycJan 15 2003 - 07:29

i dont want any more artists compilations, i just want more studio albums.

RE: Idaho compilation | from chrisJan 14 2003 - 07:12

Hey Alex,
It is a great song. I had literally been begging John and Jeff to release it since I first heard it on tour in '96. Luckily it showed up on WWYANTM-and they've taken to playing it again-it reminds me of my blissful youth spent following them around the country...

RE: Idaho compilation | from Alex N.Jan 13 2003 - 20:49

It's nice to see that two other people think that "Shoulder Back" is a great song. I can't believe it wasn't released on a normal album.

i made a best-of comp for myself awhile back (2 songs from each album, 1 from each e.p.):
creep, here to go, save, weird wood, fuel, only maybe, a sound awake, get you back, hold everything, jump up, run but you ran, to be the one, dum dum, tear.

RE: Idaho compilation | from ChrisJan 13 2003 - 17:13

It would be called "These dripping words don't lie...the Best of IDAHO"

Tracks: (chronologically)
1. Skyscrape
2. God's Green Earth
3. Gone
4. Fall Around (live-perhaps the most amazing performance ever...)

10. A Sound Awake
11. Get You Back
12. The Worm
11. Shoulder Back

RE: Idaho compilation | from michelJan 13 2003 - 14:24

Why not get the core fans together, let them choose two of their all time favs and make it a double cd called 'These damn IDAHOLICS sure know their stuff'.
My two would be: Apricots to Armagnac & skyscrape.
actually, throw in some live footage as well on dvd.

RE: Idaho compilation | from Alex N.Jan 13 2003 - 13:46

Oops. I meant either "in the world" or "ever".

RE: Idaho compilation | from Alex N.Jan 13 2003 - 13:45

1) Sweep
2) Taken
3) Forever
4) If You Dare
5) Stare At the Sky
6) Alive Again
7) Jump Up
8) To Be The One
9) Shoulder Back
10) On the Shore
11) Casa Mia
12) Levitate

This would be my favorite CD in the
ever. I have no idea about a title,
though.

RE: Idaho compilation | from JR OlssonJan 13 2003 - 13:32

Won't be easy, I have 30 songs I have downloaded that all are amazing. I would want the original cds of course but i can't find them. i do have the four latest releases.

they could call it: "Being the best rock band in the world for ten years without anyone in sweden knowing it - the greatest hits"

Best of Idaho | from PSJan 13 2003 - 12:41

OK, here's the scenario: you are put in charge of a forthcoming 'Best of Idaho' compilation.

First task - what track listing?

Second task - what title?
