Hi Adam
i have lost your email
have you had my package?

RE: Cobalt | from adam u.k.Jan 09 2003 - 15:11

Nope - scratch the 2CD malarky - it's only on one...

RE: Cobalt | from adam u.k.Jan 09 2003 - 15:10

The new CD is called Passoa, and its on B-core records. It seems to be a 2CD set? - the track list is as follows:

1. Iceberg
2. City song
3. Last minute trip
4. Statutory
5. Rockard
6. Meta
7. Tally marks
8. Safe within seconds
9. Wild Indian Summers
10. Rockland
11. Understanding
12. 90hz filter
13. Allegro
14. Dead face
15. Please don't get it
16. Outdoor

I think it's already out - just that I only saw a review for it the other day in Kerrang! (a U.K. alternative/metal magazine).

I'll be searching out a copy soon...

Cheers for all the other info by the way...

Can you give me some information on the new album?

RE: Cobalt | from michelJan 08 2003 - 14:56

yeah adanm, i have 'eleven story soul departure' by cobolt. 9 tracks on this album form '97. Francly i don't play it much, somehow can't get attached to it. It's not what you would expect from a band sharing a split 7" with IDAHO. (maybe i'm spoiled!)The guitars on this album are too straight forward and distorted for my likings. Singer reminds me of Chris Hooson of Dakota Suite somewhat, the compositions are close to some of what Codeine did. I like Codeine a lot so that doesn't say anything. They're not bad though, worth a listen for sure.

I've had the Idaho/Cobolt split 7" for some time now, and Indian Summer by Cobolt is fantastic. I was just wondering if anyone else has got anything else by them - I think they have an album & EP out, but can't seem to track it down, and there's a new Album out next week...

Also do they have a website?

Cheers

adam
