i love that they finally released
these songs. i also agree that the
article in big takeover was right on. i think jeff is to hard on him self sometimes and should release
every god damn song he writes.
i'll be the first in line.

The live review is similarly glowing.

The Big Takeover is great. It's the only music magazine I read cover to cover.

Jack Rabid was Jeff's labelmate back when Springhouse and Idaho were both on Caroline.

I actually met Jack many moons ago when Springhouse played in Columbia, MO. I was one of maybe 10 people in the audience. A radio station friend of mine and I went to Denny's with the band and hung out. Jack was extremely nice and (of course) incredibly knowledgeable about music.

Has anyone read the review of "we were young..." in the new Big Takeover? Jack Rabid questions Jeff's sanity for not issuing these songs sooner. Anyway its an awesome review, probably the best i've read for the album.
