i don't know if you were flattering yourself or not as i have not heard the music. but i was a little nauseated as i read. i'm better now though.
awww. thanks, folks. made me smile. anyhow, i think you can get stuff at Amazon.com as well as CDNOW.com and plenty of other small retail online places, but it'd be cheapest if you just order them at projekt.com. technically, borders books&music is supposed to carry them in their stores. "supposed to."
thanks, alex, for the heads up to the not-goth thing. i often wonder how many people scoff at projekt without actually ever giving it a listen music because they assume it's all vampirey goth stuff . there is really alot of good ambient stuff on there as well as your standard goth/dramatic stuff. and me, whatever the heck you could describe it as. i kinda guess if you could imagine AmericanMusicClub, Depeche Mode, Red House Painters and Lowlife all had an orgy while Hayden watched, the resulting love-child might sound something like my music. im not sure if i just flattered myself or nauseated those reading this. anyhow, sorry, i don't mean to take attention away from idaho - this is an idaho list. i'll shutup now. i just think some people who like idaho might kinda like my music a bit possibly. or maybe not. they are certainly one of my biggest influences ever. check out if you like at http://www.mp3.com/soulwhirling.
okay enough blatant self-promotion (until my next cd comes out)... back to talking about real bands. :)
take care.
michael
I forgot to mention to Rita: You can get Soul Whirling Somewhere CD's at Amazon.com, and probably some other stores online. Or, you could go to Projekt's website and order it direct. This is probably the easier and cheaper option. (Although Projekt is considered a goth label by many, SWS/Michael Plaster isn't goth, just to let you know.)
I just ordered "Please Sennd Help". I can't wait to hear it. I couldn't agree more about how underrated he is. I just realized I wrote "Everyone Will Eventually Leave You" wrong. Oops.
If you think that stuff is good, you should hear his latest album "Please Sennd Help". Total masterpiece. SWS is soooooo ridiculously underrated...
Where can I get your stuff from El Plaster???
Michael Plaster,
If you read this, I love your music more than anything in the world. I just got "Hope Was" and "Everyone Will Leave You Eventually", and "Eating the Sea" should arrive soon. Just wanting to let you know I think you're brilliant.
i have that germoline coloured single, too. Did jeff put 'a ten to noon' up on a very early idaho web site for download? I seem to have found it on an old back-up CD???
a ten to noon is only on the cd version of the 'drive it' single. i have a pink, uk printed vinyl drive it 7" that has only drive it and sweep on it.
"Drive it" and "sweep" are exactly the same as the This way out versions and "Red snake" is just an ambient squiggle ( though read Idaho name thread for poignant aside (!))
"A ten to noon" however, is easily worth the cover: one of those songs that'll turn you to jelly.....
Little sips of crazy bliss
What's the gen on this documentary Jeffers???
yeah its on CD.. i got it. track listing is
drive it.
sweep.
a ten to noon.
red snake.
as far as i know it was only ever available on CD as an import back when they went through Quigly Records in the UK. not sure about any vinyl..... it's most likely no longer in print. :(
definitely worth tracking down, though.
Is this EP still available? If it is what's on it, and is it on cd?
Thanks.
