Jeff, Dan

Honestly I think that putting out a greatest hits CD would be pointless. Your albums are so great by themselves in their entirity that it would not do the songs justice to take them away from their element. A CD of Unreleased tracks, b-sides, and live stuff would be much better for the listeners out their. I guess i am just not a big fan of greatest hits CD's. These of course are just my suggestions, I will still be a dedicated fan even if you release a Greatest hits cd. Be well

colin

You should put out a two CD set.
CD 1:The "best of" tracks (possibly
based from a message board poll as
well as the tracks you guys think
should represent your "best")
CD 2:b-sides,rare & live tracks
that no one can seem to get their
hands on. That will be the stuff
that gets the hard-core fans mouths
to water.

answer to allan's question | from jeffMar 19 2000 - 21:03

off the top of my head...i like fall around, gone, skyscrape, the only road, save, forever, get you back, the thick+thin, bass crawl, jump up, yesterdays unwinding, and finally (from the new album) to be the one, alta dena, the song we finished last week....this list would be different in a few weeks...i rarely hear the old shit anyway

RE: suggestions for idaho | from alan kyleMar 19 2000 - 12:03

Why don't you put the ambient tracks from the vinyl version of Bayonet on a best of, and of course any rare or hard to get stuff too. My favourites are:
the sun is all there is, god's green earth, one sunday, skyscrape, if you dare, yesterday unwinding, creep, the thick and the thin, goldenseal, weird wood, shame, drop off, only in the desert, gone, pomenegranate bleeding, a sound awake, fuel,
so any of them would be my choices. What are your favourite tracks then Jeff?

RE: suggestions for idaho | from michelMar 01 2000 - 11:13

hey jeff, fixing a best of would be really tough right? Skyscrape should be on it for sure, you had that in mind probably, but what about Creep? That one should blow everyone away at all times. Furthermore: Shame, Get you back and apricots to armagnac.
You got to put some stuff on there that has not been released or uploaded yet as well i think. One or two lo-fi livetracks? YEAH!!!

RE: suggestions for idaho | from DeanusFeb 29 2000 - 22:04

What's all this about? Are you releasing a retro collection?? If so how about the gorgeous a ten to noon? I'm sure a few people missed out on that one.
Jeff; any chance of you EVER playing in the UK?? I missed you once way back when year after year was released and I don't think you've ever been back ( threatened to play once then cancelled. Come on over and we'll look after you!

RE: suggestions for idaho | from daveFeb 29 2000 - 21:39

Regarding those three vinyl Bayonet
EP tracks -and any other out of
print b-sides, demos, live songs,
etc.- let's all gather in a circle,
hand-in-hand, united in group
prayer, channeling the faculties of
Jeff Almighty to post all of those
songs on this here holy beloved
website! ... Can I get an "Amen"!?!

RE: suggestions for idaho | from billFeb 29 2000 - 21:13

forget so cal. when are you
going to play georgia?
i'll get to my suggested tracks
later.
what i'm curious about right now
is who is going to put it out?
are you still with buzz?
bill.

RE: suggestions for idaho | from sweet trevorFeb 29 2000 - 19:51

why not make this album 15 or so tracks long? alas was incredible, but way too short? what?

RE: suggestions for idaho | from jeffFeb 29 2000 - 19:29

ash.....those songs are indeed extra tracks on the vinyl version. they are really just ambient pieces though....just keep your eye out for the fuel 7" if you really want it, it will find you

RE: suggestions for idaho | from ashFeb 29 2000 - 19:26

jeff,
i suggest that some of the harder to find Idaho songs should be on
there. of course you can't forget
the best songs. here are my suggestions and this is just off the top of my head:

Pomegranate Bleeding
Fuel
God's Green Earth
Weird Wood
Glow
Stare At the Sky
Run But You Ran
Catapult
Drive It
End Game
Gone
Golden Seal
If You Dare
Jump Up

Those are only what i can think of at the moment... if it mattered, i guess i'd want them all!

I see on Brent's page where he lists all of your songs to date, there are some there that are listed on the Bayonet EP that aren't on my copy. Does the vinyl version have more songs than the CD version? the songs are Juke Box, You Lost, and Live Segues no. 3 & 7. Also, i've been looking all around for the Fuel 7". ...no where to be found at all. you said it'd be tough to find, but i'm thinking that it's impossible to find... is there anything you could do to help? ...got ..to keep
going... need... more... idaho...!!

,ash.
