i gotta say that as much as i love idaho, when i'm bumming i tend to play rhp religiously. i admit though that that allot of kozeleks lyrics are supergay. But its something about his voice... don't know

Speaking of Kozelek...He has a walk on role in the movie Vanilla Sky. He is the guy who tells Tom Cruise to fix his fucking face in the scene in the bathroom at the dance club. I thought that was pretty funny when I saw his name in the credits....now let's get back to the fighting....

i agree it doesn't make sense to compare RHP to Idaho musically, but not everyone has the same tastes. just because one person thinks old ramon is amazing doesn't mean it's amazing for everyone, for chrissakes.

'fraid I'm a big fan. It was via RHP that I got into Idaho. Some of the RHP stuff is not brilliant, including the 4AD period. I saw them live last year and they were fantastic. A track like 'Have Your forgotten how to love yourself' from Blue Guitar' is really up there for me. I guess it's different strokes. I love Kozelek's voice. Live it's amazing. However, Jeff's just has so much more range and texture. By the way Dan I'm 6'6" if you need a hand...

i think the reason i'm an IDAHO fan is because they don't fit the "slow-core" mold that everyone puts them into...they're so much more - sonically and introspectively - if ya ask me, there's no group that is even in IDAHO's league..

but when you start talking about music, it's only natural to make broad gestures in compairing similar sounding artists on the most basic level...

ah fuck it, i'm not making any sense... all i'm trying to say is that some whiny person w/their fingers wrapped around an acoustic doesn't normally cut it for me (elliott smith is about the only exception i can think of). i need sound, i need sonic texture, i like those things... what do all of you like ?? your comments please ?!

RHP's 4AD stuff is pretty good, but everything they've done since leaves me cold. actually there is one song on "old ramon" that i like, but i can't remember it's name. anyway i never thought RHP were really that special - they're ok but not in idaho's league. that's just my opinion.
