Hey Jeff I'm an audiophile nerd too. There I've said it! Dying to ask you what you've got. Often musicians don't bother about hifi. Anyway, the HDCD sounds much more open and dynamic. There's a real feeling of space around the performers. Don't know whether it's much respected any more. The catalogue is not huge, though Beck and Neil Young last releases were HDCD. Check it out. Free roadie with every copy!

oh yeah......the skull healed quickly but i miss the 24 hour natural high that follwed the impact.....strongly recommended..... is HDCD still popular? JB and i are going to NY to master the new IDAHO record with craig calby (sp?)and maybe i should inquire about this.... im a real audiofile nerdo..i just dont know if this process is still respected or used much any more.....?

p.s. the new record consists of previously unreleased songs from 1992 to 2000....

then make sure those stage monitors are bolted up high and out of 'jumping' reach...

j/k, jeffie !

hope your scar has healed since the du nord show!

oh yeah - and more to the subject of this string - THREE SHEETS was an HDCD ???

I know this is sad, but what are the chances that the new album will be HDCD like Three Sheets to the Wind? If you have a HDCD player, it's like having Jeff in the room. (I expect sarcastic remarks!)
