Thank you JB and Brian for this
nice and clear answer.
YOU ARE THERE is a wonderful song.
One of my faves.
I wish I had such songwriting
skills...

what JB said.

It was a different Drain. Our Drain came out of another band: THE BUFFALO SPRINGSTEEN.
The buffalo Springsteen was Jeff (bass) Wade Graham (guitar) Christy Schnabel (singer).
Drain started once Christy "left" the band. As a trio we recorded a demo. It was towards the end of mixing it at Piercing Sound (Jeff's Brentwood studio) that Jeff and I recorded YOU ARE THERE. I showed Jeff the rythm guitar part and we recorded it more or less off the cuff in a few hours. It sounded totally different from the rest of the songs, but we put it on the drain demo. We made every attempt to get signed but couldn't. Drain was the last band Jeff or myself were in before doing IDAHO.

F***ing poker shite.
how about registration?

I'd love an answer about my DRAIN ยจ
question...

I've read on slidingpast that jeff
martin once was a member of drain.
I have a record by a band called drain and it's on trance syndicate
(pick up heaven or smthg)...
is it the same band?
cause it's really noisy stuff that
somehow reminds me of the God Machine.
if so, what was he playing?
