RE: Snow Patrol? | from robJun 16 2005 - 06:02

im from the uk, i have to say that snow patrol are wank and boring and weak and uninventive and uninteresting. There very big over here there the kinda band that play low fi businessman rock that people who like ministry of sound samplers can put on and say "oohh yes i like abit of rock" and pretend somehow there music aste has become some what diverse. ok im over ranting

RE: Snow Patrol? | from ZenJun 12 2005 - 19:00

You see what he did with that Mac McMac gag? That's killer. See how he played on the scottish surname prefix and came up with a funny name? That's diamond sharp wit that is.

RE: Snow Patrol? | from dkJun 05 2005 - 04:23

Shirley Manson is the only member of Garbage from Scotland; MBV's Kevin Shields was born in NYC and moved to Dublin. I forgive you.

RE: Snow Patrol? | from janJun 05 2005 - 03:42

MBV Scottish ? Are you sure...

RE: Snow Patrol? | from CFJun 04 2005 - 17:03

Uh, Chud, How about Garbage (at least SM), Simple Minds, My Bloody Valentine (to name but three)? All Scottish, all brilliant in their own way. Forgive them, Jeff, for they know not what they say...

RE: Snow Patrol? | from chudJun 04 2005 - 15:14

Scottish super group? that's funny. That's like saying "best strip-club in Salt Lake City" Whoopee!!

RE: Snow Patrol? | from chrisJun 04 2005 - 15:07

Don't buy Snow Patrol's DVD. That dude cannot sing live. Weak weak voice and off-key quite a bit. I also saw them on Jay Leno, they sucked. The album is very good however.

RE: Snow Patrol? | from Ah yes....Jun 03 2005 - 01:03

...the bands that make Coldplay look exciting.

(You forgot

RE: Snow Patrol? | from John E. GO!Jun 02 2005 - 23:47

The man behind Snow Patrol was the guy behind The Reindeer Section, the so-called Scotish "Super Group"...put out 2 records of pretty cool stuff, not for everyone, not always straight-ahead...good times...

RE: Snow Patrol? | from CFJun 01 2005 - 20:05

Fairly decent band; mid-tempo British art pop in the vein of Coldplay, Keane, quiet Radiohead, et al. Check out tracks called "chocolate" and "run'. Huge in England-headlinin festivals and what not. Played NYC sold out show at Roseland 2 weeks ago; decent reviews.

... anyone heard 'em | from m2Jun 01 2005 - 18:47

has anyone here heard much from a band called "Snow Patrol?" i saw them coupled with Keane (whom i really like) on some sampler CD the other day, so i Limewired a song just to give it a listen to see if i'd like it... so far kinda straightforward songwriting, but with really weird arrangement and effects. i kinda like it, but thought i'd ask if anyone else has heard more of their stuff and could let me know if it gets worse. cant spend all day D/Ling (56k)

thanks.
