looking back through some old yahoo! messages, i was thinking of a drum & bass remix of the song 'scrawny', by someone called Ian C Stewart (DJ Arse).

That cover of fuel is still there.

I believe that's my cover I did back in 2000. I made two or either three mixes from the cover but forget which one I posted. May have to resub to have a listen and see.

we used to cover apricots /w complete band a few years back. i don't think we ever caught it somehow but it sure was beautiful. Not the interpretation, the song.

covering idaho songs might be cool, but what would be the point in hearing a different interpretation?--unless it was from mr. martin himself?

I'm still curious though. damn.

While I agree with you, I would argue that covers aren't about making things better, but offering a different interpretation.

sorry but as a huge fan with tremendous respect for this music that Jeff creates...I say forget any covers---no one could make this music any better

It certainly isn't techno, but it's interesting.

RE: | from marcNov 17 2003 - 05:14

Didn't someone do a techno mix? Or is that the one you are talking about?
