RE: Promotional Websites | from AndrewJul 21 2003 - 13:37

I think the idahomessageboard station is one of the best on mp3.com. Good stuff everyone.

sorry for the confusion alex. my bad. though i was gonna e-mail you about your music. lets do a trade. check your e-mail!

RE: Promotional Websites | from Andrew KellierJul 16 2003 - 22:23

I think the Idaho Message Board station is a good idea. Maybe it would bring some more people to this threads and Idaho's beautiful music.

RE: Promotional Websites | from Alex againJul 16 2003 - 22:17

Actually, how about we all link to each others mp3.com sites? I'll put up links to The Grand Opening, Gardin, Seth Howard, and Soul Whirling Somewhere tommorow. Anyone I'm leaving out? Also, would anyone object to making an Idaho Message Board station? I don't know how to make one yet, but it would be kinda funny.

RE: Promotional Websites | from AlexJul 16 2003 - 21:40

Hey JR. What money? If you want some music, you don't need to pay for it. I'll just send it to you. I'll put a link to The Grand Opening on my MP3.com page. If you want to link to mine, it's www.mp3.com/Alex_Niedt. I noticed that station you're talking about, because most of my songs are on it, as well as a few more people from this board. It's quite weird but flattering, I guess. I'm incredibly uncomfortable with the thing saying Soul Whirling Somewhere and I are "some of the most moving artists in the genre" or whatever the hell it says. How much more ridiculous can you get? It's so embarrassing it makes me want to puke.

RE: Promotional Websites | from JR OlssonJul 16 2003 - 13:23

sorry that i can't spell.

about the promotional websites there are quite a few swedish ones i think aslo. i could help you out if you want any help. just e-mail me.

RE: Promotional Websites | from JR OlssonJul 16 2003 - 13:20

hey guys, who is the one having that slowcore radiostation at mp3.com? thanks for putting up the grand opening tracks on there. lets do a little trade here also. i wantto have you links and i want you to have my links on your mp3.com websites.

and hey michel, don't really know when the new recording will be pressed. i might have to burn you a copy of it for now. but you will get the realy copy later as i promised. 'air' is my favourite gardin track. did you alex get my money for the cd?

check out my bands website too. http://tgomusic.com in the 'blog' we have some links to new songs. just scroll down a bit. or download a new song off of mp3.com/the_grand_opening it's called 'ashes'. thank you for you attention. no don't give me no shit.

RE: Promotional Websites | from AlexJul 15 2003 - 16:35

Hey Michel. The new site looks great. I noticed you have a new page up on MP3.com. Might I suggest linking to that from your website's MP3 page? "Forlorn" is my favorite Gardin song.

RE: Promotional Websites | from michel againJul 15 2003 - 13:53

To make things easier: http://www.bigmeteor.com/newsletter/index.shtml

check out the past newsletters for links

greetz all

RE: Promotional Websites | from michelJul 15 2003 - 12:16

Hey all, a while back i got the Indie Bible to see if it would be any help in promoting stuff online. Well too much to mention really, and it never got me anywhere anyhow, but for the newsletter provides you with info of all sorts incl. web promotion.
The link is http://www.indiebible.com/icb/index.shtml for purchasing and subscribing.

also I got a new domain for my band, which is back together after a long while -Alex knows- i must say inspired by you guys and the discussions of being an artis vs failure whatever, not much on it yet, check out if you care about it: www.gardin-music.com

How's that for promotion huh?:)

RE: Promotional Websites | from Seth HowardJul 15 2003 - 11:23

iuma.com and garageband.com are the only others that come to mind off the top of my head. I don't use either of them, so I don't know if they're worth looking into.

One of these days I need to throw together my own site, but I'm an idiot when it comes to that stuff.

Suggestions? | from Alex NiedtJul 15 2003 - 10:47

Does anyone (especially those of you in bands) know of any music websites that anyone can put a page on for promotional purposes? I've already got MP3.com, Soundclick.com, and Band411.com covered. Are there any others worth looking into?
