i will download it as soon as i get down to sthlm again. i am up north in sweden celebrating midsummer!

did rosie sing on any velour 100 record? i think i have them all but i don't see her name anywhere. or was she just a live activist? who is the girl singing on the underwater song? can't remember the name on it and i don't have the records here. i would be interested in knowing if she has been in any other bands or on her own and there are music to get a hold of. anyone who knows? i think she only sings on the latest velor album. a few songs 3-4 maybe.

Sounds great Seth!

Cool - I'm glad you like it. Her voice is definitely amazing. It's funny. Even though we're both on that song, I've never met her.

Her singing was recorded in a separate session at my friend Louis' apartment. Graig just imported her vocals and the click from that session (I think it was Cakewalk) into Digital Performer. Dan, Graig, and I re-recorded all the parts to the click.

beautiful.

thanks for the tip. i'll have to track his releases down.

Rosie Thomas' singing always gives me chills; what a voice...

her solo stuff and her work with Damien Jurado and Velour 100 is
magical as well.

beautiful.

What I meant to say and left out was that "Nineteen Forty Five" is pretty long. It will be a pain in the ass for anyone with a slow connection.

If you go to:

http://www.hellotower.com/

you can download to a few songs I played on for my friend Dan's yet-to-be released record. The songs are
"Bloodletting" (pretty short) and "Nineteen Forty Five".

It's me on electric guitar, bass, and drums, along with a few tidbits from Graig Markel, and guest vocals on "Nineteen Forty Five" by Rosie Thomas.

It's fairly Red House Painters-ish stuff, so I figured some of you cats might like it. Oh, and he has thongs for sale.
