Hearts of Palm...Please!
can anyone make out the words on here to go - an awesome song, but i can only understand patches of the song?
can't make out every word from these two.
dark and narrow like this road to know the way is redemption so close but good good for something there is so so much to offer but it's buried down here so quiet so safe no one you creep around there's no story hard to care to much trouble to cut away this time today is another wasted life could be running through the stones again so quiet so safe no one you creep around
okay, now someone bust out with the Palms E.P. and "Star"
good memory
to worn to stalk and prey. never notice what's unbound. rake the isle clean just to puncture through this ground. break away. fortune sleeps somewhere. push aside. do not wake up yet. enough to stain the eye. these dripping words don't lie. forever round the coils that hang above a sky. break away. fortune sleeps somewhere. push aside. do not wake up yet. tearing out the weeds to remember what was there.
you see it all. see it all again. i could not feel. i never thought. you try to swim without a cause. holding back. straight ahead. gone astray. home- ward bound. you face the ground. already gone. you try to go. you try to stay. i'll talk you down. i'll talk you down. you break away. without a sound. you break her heart. who says its fair. couldn't find your way. couldn't find my way. find a way. breaking a heart. holding back. straight ahead. gone astray. homeward bound. you face the ground. already gone.
you know the harder you try to be respected .its not to difficult to see why you are not happy. you'll meet me upstairs like you should not care .the wings make patterns so bold you itch like your scared.you have slept wandering through a place you cant have. you keep the rocks in your heart because you feel.don't panic its all right. you will face any storm. give it up. scraped your sky.slip your way, slip your hold. you have slept wandering through a place you can't have.
its the knowing why that makes the wave that brought you to the ground. go and see will you bend my feeling. sleep along this way to change. its a wonder i see and you know it could be bad. rattle through my head. take it through to where i feel the worst. held a thousand ways i've gone you liar been a thousand days. thin body your walking further inside. hey the sound has been my way i'll hear you now. it's the knowing why that makes the wave that brought you to the ground. go and see will you send my feeling. sleep along the way to change. thin body your walking further in- side. hey the sound has been my way i'll here you now. leave me here i know your going. sinking fast i grab the last thing. used to know just how to do it. down there i wont know the wind will blow.
gave me time.i hear the end.i don't know where to be. i let another ship go by.where i was alone. i freak the sun on down.seem to stick around.i try the other ground. sister im your only friend. you run for years before you know.i don't know where to be.sister im your only friend.
could be wasting a clouded mind over you so I sail on the writing and make a trail could be stuck in the doldrums roughin out the same old way have to get out always hear where your hiding its not okay and what can I do about it nothing today I will fake it all the way stringing up what I cant fool just to get out
there's nothin else to do. so do it. you have a face but somewhere you lose it. trailing far back your only road is gone and the fear has left you alone forever. you eat the grass you steal the sun to prove it you fall between the grains of sand and boulders. trailing far back your tracks are blown away. give away the skin you have kept to hide your joke inside.
you know i am trailing back. sifting through all your gold. stay down better to drown. save something that you left. i will let you off. you bent my days way too hard. stay down. better to drown. save something that you left. you don't think tried to go. you know am insane. where'd our days go. watch you fade. no time willwaste away your soul. i'll keep it inside.
to wait another day. the air still here. sounds are aching back, running out but never fade. to know the sky will fall does not suspend. go on. the oil or the sea. a burning malady. go on. intrusion always near these barren hills.
you are welcome to type them out for me and ill have dale put them up. the only cd's that dont have the lyrics printed on them are YAY, palms ep , bayonet ep.....
JEFF!! How bout it???? Lyrics page please!!
"Carefully Turning" sounds like it should follow "Severed Lips" from Dinosaur Jr's self titled first album. I absolutely love J. Mascis (and Bob Mould), Jeff Martin is pulling "neck and neck" with those boys. Ian Curtis (Morrisey a distant second) still leads the pack......
there are always exceptions to the rule of course.
hey in that case, maybe you could take a crack at "carefully turning" off "we were young..." I like that song a lot, but I can only make out so much of it. I feel kind of silly singing along, heh.
I think Jeff lyrics are reasonably easy to make out. Lyrics take away from the experience or mystery sometimes for me. But everone's different, thankfully.
i TOTALLY agree. the one album i don't have the lyrics for is "hearts of palm." i also have some misc. stuff burnt onto a CD that a friend did... songs like skyscrape, etc.
C'mon Jeff/John...when you have a chance, please, please add a lyrics page to this site. thanks I know it's probably a pain...sorry
